Chant anyway!

Your mind is wandering all over the universe when you chant.
Chant anyway!

Your mind is wandering to the past and future when you chant.
Chant anyway!

You are not able to concentrate on Krsna’s names while you chant.
Chant anyway!

You have no taste for chanting.
Chant anyway!

You have lusty desires.
Chant anyway!

You are making offenses in chanting.
Chant anyway!

Medicine for lazy devotion

Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami MaharajDivine Words of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev Goswami

The only medicine for lazy devotion is a good association – to associate with those for whom you have regard.

Pratistha, one’s love for the position is very difficult to give up.
It is easier to give up attraction for females or money, but hankering for one’s own position is most difficult.
Prestige for position is our innermost enemy.

So long as that remains we cannot offer ourselves in the service of a vaisnava.

Use this human life in a valuable way

Divine Words of Guardian of Devotion

We can agree that there is no charm here that shall make us hesitate to withdraw from this world, but we must also disagree and say that our life in this world is valuable. Why? With this life, we can acquire a higher aspiration. We can have the chance of acquiring the goal from this plane. This human life is so valuable that with it we can take the path of the highest divine conception. This human body is highly valued and rarely achieved.

Always look to the high sky

Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami MaharajDivine words of Guardian of Devotion

‘O, Krishna, you may finish me, destroy me, efface me from the world, or you may save me by only a drop of your grace. I won’t search after my satisfaction in the mud. That is finished, I will never go back to search my fortune in the earth, in the mundane. I am already fixed to do or die. Either I must receive a drop of your grace, or you may finish me.

‘ In this way, Srila Rupa Goswami prays that Krishna’s mercy will descend like rain from the clouds, and not only quench his thirst, but bathe him, satisfy his utmost hankering, and fulfill his innermost necessity. So, we should never search for our fortune in the mud, we must always look to the high sky and pray for Sri Guru and his Grace.

Five Prayers to Lord Narasimha Dev

Five Prayers to Lord Narasimha by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has written five beautiful prayers in “Sri Navadvipa Bhava Taranga” for receiving the mercy of Lord Narasimha. These prayers are certainly assurance to all sincere devotees that the worship of Lord Narasimha is purely in the line of aspiring love and devotion to Sri Sri Radha and Krsna. Those prayers are as follows.

e dusta hrdaye kama adi ripu chaya
kutinati pratisthasa sathya sada raya
hrdaya-sodhana ara krsnera vasana
nrsimha-carane mora ei to’ kamana

Within my sinful heart, the six enemies headed by lust perpetually reside, as well as duplicity, the desire for fame, plus sheer cunning. At the lotus feet of Lord Narasimha, I hope that He will mercifully purify my heart and give me the desire to serve Lord Krsna.

kandiya nrsimha-pade magibo kakhana
nirapade navadvipe jugala-bhajana
bhaya bhaya paya yan’ra darsane se hari
prasanna hoibo kabe more daya kari

Weeping, I will beg at the lotus-feet of Lord Narasimha for the benediction of worshipping Radha and Krsna in Navadvipa, perfectly safe and free from all difficulties. When will this Lord Hari, Whose terrible form strikes fear into fear itself, ever become pleased and show me His mercy?

The most hidden instruction

Lord Krishna saying:

sarva-guhyatamam bhuyah, srnu me paramam vacah
isto ‘si me drdham iti, tato vaksyami te hitamu

bhuyah – Again; srnu – hear; me – My; sarva-guhyatamam – most hidden of all hidden; paramam – supreme; vacah – teachings.

(tvam) – You; asi – are; me – My; drdham – extremely; istah – dear one. iti tatah – For that reason; vaksyami – I am speaking; te – to you; hitam – for your highest benefit.

Now again hear My supreme teaching, the most hidden of all hidden treasures.
You are extremely dear to Me, and really, this is why I am explaining this for your true benefit.

What is home?

What is home?

It is where we find that we are in the midst of our well-wishers. If we do not care for our own benefit, then there are so many who will take care of us – in fact, the whole environment will take care of us – and that is home. That is the domain of the Absolute, and we can enter into His service, the highest position, and thereby see the affection love, harmony, and beauty that exist there. All these qualities are similar and they constitute the nature of the Prime Cause and Good, and we are to go there.

Misusing our free-will we have been somehow led astray but now we are being called:
“Come home, back to God and back to home, the highest position, the land of love.”

This is, in general and in short, the sum total which I have presented to you – this is the Kṛṣṇa conception in Bhagavad-gītā and in Śrīmad Bhagavatam, and it is the conception that has been given by Śrī Chaitanyadeva. This Śrī Chaitanya Sarasvat Matha and the whole of the Gaudīya Mission is preaching only for that.

“Go to the Centre, use your life for total dedication to the Centre, and the Centre is all above justice.

It is all-merciful, affectionate, loving, and beautiful.”

Back to God, back to home.

Bring us into harmony

DIVINE WORDS of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Raksaka Sridhar deva Goswami

We will receive help from the revealed Scriptures, and from the many saints and agents who are also coming from that plane to bring us into harmony.

The religion of highest harmony has been given by Mahāprabhu Śrī Chaitanyadeva who explained devotion on the basis of Śrīmad Bhagavatam, the book which is understood to be the real conclusion of all the revealed scriptures. In this way, He explained that energy or power is not the highest thing, but knowledge is above it.

Knowledge can control power and give a beneficial result, but further, knowledge itself also holds a lower position: above it is love and affection, and that is the highest.

Neither knowledge nor power, but only affection can give us the fulfillment of life.
Mercy is higher than justice.
Justice only exists where there is the necessity of laws, rules, etc., but in the realm of the Absolute Autocrat, who is the Absolute Good, there can be no question of any apprehension about Him.
He is Absolute Good, an Absolute Good is an Absolute Love and Affection, and that is home!

Dharma, Dhyana and Puja

In his Brhad-bhagavatamrta, Sanatana Goswami has written:

jayati jayati namananda rupam Murmurer
viramita-nija-dharma-dhyana-pujadi-yatnam
katham api sakrd attam mukti-dam praninam yat
paramam amrtam ekam jivanam bhussanam me

All glories, all glories to the most blissful holy name of Murari, which causes the devotee to give up all religious duties, meditation and worship. If somehow or other the holy name is chanted even once by a living entity, that person attains liberation. The holy name is the supreme nectar and it is my very life and my only treasure.

Jayati namananda rupam murarer — may the ecstasy in the service of the holy name always be victorious.

Viramitanija- dharma-dhyana-pujadi-yatnam — if somehow we come in contact with that divine sound then all other activities become paralyzed.

If one can get a little taste for that sort of divine bliss, then his charm for all religious activities vanishes. They have no necessity.

First dharma, our sense of duty is paralyzed.
